TNP USB-C Hub Adds 4K HDMI, Ethernet, USB-A, and USB-C for Charging

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: Apple Podcasts | Android | RSSThe TNP USB-C Hub is a dongle you can add to your Mac or PC. It adds 4K HDMI, Ethernet, USB-A, and USB-C for Charging or using another USB-C device. I’ve been using with my HP Elite X2 laptop for when I need a Ethernet connection, 2nd monitor, or extra USB device. Ethernet is a 1 Gigabit and transfers data very well within my network. Sometimes I need the wired connection for video and screen-sharing. Ethernet connections have a lower latency, and less chance of getting bumped off the network if too many wireless devices are connected. In connecting to my Vizio M50 4K TV, I had no problem getting the 2160p signal the monitor can produce. I can then use my x2 to present, or watch a video online or one I created. The Elite X2 also has one USB-C...

Sony’s PS4 Outsold Both Xbox One And Nintendo Switch Last Month

It is no secret that Sony’s PS4 console has generally outsold the Xbox One ever since they both came out back in 2013. In fact the PS4 has been in the lead the whole time, even though some months have seen the Xbox One outsell the PlayStation 4 in the United States. And now, the latest figures from The NPD Group show that the PlayStation 4 has outsold not just the Xbox One, but also the relatively new Nintendo Switch in the United States last month. This is surprising since the Switch is so new still. Both Microsoft and Sony have released several versions of these consoles. Sony added the PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 4 Slim to their lineup, while Microsoft launched the Xbox One S and will release the Xbox One X very soon. So there are a lot of factors at work here, one of them...

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: Apple Podcasts | Android | RSSBlackmagic Design sent me a web presenter and ATEM Television Studio HD to test out and assess. I’ve been excited for this unit ever since NAB when I interviewed Blackmagic. Within an hour, I was hooked on the web presenter and all it can do. What is the Blackmagic Web Presenter This is a box that will let you use your DSLR, GoPro, or prosumer camera to send video to YouTube, Facebook, Periscope, and many other online sources. The VR180 Video Owl: Recording Stereo 180 Degree VR

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: Apple Podcasts | Android | RSSWhile at Vidcon, I ran into Mark W. Gray, and his daughter, Fiona, along with a very interesting owl. It is not really as much a prop as what it can do – create stereoscopic VR180 Video. YouTube Announcement at Vidcon – VR180 Last week I reported on YouTube announcements. One announcement dealt with VR180 (video link queued up for you). This is a form of video where you only see the front side of 360 video. Just like if you were there. Looking behind you won’t matter, as you see nothing past the first 180 degrees. For creators, this allows a focus on the important content – an interview being conducted, a race being run, band playing, etc. Stereoscopic VR180 If you own a VR unit such as Google Cardboard, Oculus, or another headset, you will be able to set...

LumaFusion is a Pro Video Editor for iPad, iPhone

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: Apple Podcasts | Android | RSSCreating content on the go can be tough, simply due to the amount of gear you have to bring.
