Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera is Small and Customizable

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: iTunes | Android | RSSVideo cameras are getting smaller and more functional for that cinematic look in whatever you do. That is the case for the Blackmagic Micro Cinema camera. The best part – it’s a fully open and customizable camera. The Cinema camera is only 2.57 inches high by 3.25 inches wide and 2.74 inches deep. With a weight of only 10 ounces, this camera can be placed on a helmet, drone, or just held in your hand. The Super 16 sensor allows up to 1080p to 60 fps with rolling shutter. The Dynamic range is 13 stops for anything from daylight to low-light video. Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: iTunes | Android | RSSWhile at NAB 2015, I checked out the powerful Z desktops and the Z1 G2 All-in-one workstation. This is a 27-inch touchscreen all-in-one. Sony HandyCam HXR-NX30u Production Camera – NAB 2014

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: iTunes | Android | RSSI use the pro-sumer version of the Sony Handycam HXRNX30u in getting interviews for Geekazine. When I heard there was a broadcast level version, I was intrigued. Adding sound options and more made this the next camera on my list. The Sony Handcam HXR series came out in 2011. Their current version – the HXR-NX30u – brings high definition in a small footprint. Add the Optical SteadyShot image stabilization technology and you can be holding this in your hand and still get a pretty stable shot. This is because the camera eye moves to keep the shake from happening. Get the Sony HXR-NX30u at B&H For example, I have done some time-lapses in Las Vegas with an older camera. Whether you are in a building or on a bridge you know that after watching the footage there is some shaking or swaying that happens....

Intel Light Peak Technology Will Let You Transfer Blu-Ray in Under 30 Seconds – CES 2010

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: iTunes | Android | RSS Bottlenecks. That is one thing companies have to deal with when putting out a faster device. The product may revolutionize in speed, but if the rest of the computer can’t handle it, you have to wait for one to catch up to the other. Intel always works on that area. They wanted to address the connection throughout a home or business with the speed needed. Enter Light Peak technology. The hope is to eventually replace copper wiring within the house simply because it will become the bottleneck. Todd Cochrane talks with Robert on this new technology at CES. It won’t be out until next year, but the prototype is pretty impressive. The transfer on LightPeak is 10 Gbps. In the demonstration they have 2 – 4 Gbps 1080p streams running at the same time.
