Day in Tech History Has Moved. New Website, New Feel, Kickstarter

Well, it’s been on my mind for the last few weeks. On October 1st, I pulled the switch and the Day in Tech History Podcast has officially moved to it’s own website. Now found at www.dayintechhistory.com – The move means a lot of new additions and opportunities. The first idea is I can move this past podcasts. Two weeks ago I started the Pre-Cap, which is a  roundup of the Tech History you will hear about during the week. This has a Share-Alike attribution, which means you can take this video and incorporate it into your videos as a segment. Secondly, I can bring on more bloggers that want to talk about historical events in technology history. We can also bring in video, pictures and more into their own categories – making this a fully rounded website. No Changes Necessary to the Day in Tech History for you!...

Help Keep the Day in Technology History Podcast Going – Kickstarter Project

One of the shows I create has been a labor of love. For the last 5 years, I have been putting together a timeline of technology history on posting on first a weekly, then daily basis. However – especially in the last year – Sponsors have been spotty. Besides, I never liked putting sponsors in the middle of a show – however, the cost of living pretty much told me I needed to do this. But then I had a revelation. Actually,...

Remember the days where you couldn’t even get a simple headphone jack from your CRT TV? Connecting your DVR, Roku, PC and more to the TV is as straightforward as connecting to the HDMI port. Yet the TV is now so thin it sets on your wall and your computer is not even close to it. You don’t want to run a long cable across the room to watch your movies via DVD and control the system. That is why we have wireless USB to HDMI. Using a simple dongle, you connect one machine to the TV. No wires, no hassles. Warpia has created a wireless USB to HDMI controller called StreamHD. Best part – If you have Windows 7 or Mac OSX, you can connect the TV dock...
