Kirk H&J: Wireless Smartphone Charging – CES 2013 Live

For the Samsung S3 – you remove the back to install the system.  For the iPhone there are a variety of cases , currently for the iPhone 4 – with the iPhone 5 due in the first quarter of 2013.  Charging times are similar to wired systems, and offer over 90% efficiency. The SmartCam has an easy setup. Push a button on the camera and it looks for the router information.  The camera activates using motion, and audio-detection. The SmartCam will then send you an alert to your mobile device.  SmartCam records the event and sends to a private YouTube channel. Included features to the SmartCam: night-vision up to 15 feet, free apps for all mobile platforms, and an always-on setting to allow you to view it anytime, even when it hasn’t picked up activity. Samsung debuts the Samsung Galaxy 7 Tablet. It’s a Windows Home 7 Premium Tablet that does have a slide-out keyboard. It also has a multi-touch (16 point) polyphony screen, which means you can use more than one finger to write or work. It is still a 7″ tablet, but that idea of a sliding keyboard for something that weighs only 2.2 lbs is pretty interesting. An 8.5 hour battery life. No mention on the processor, but I am guessing it’s the same Cortex A8 1.2 GHz as in the Galaxy Tab. This is due out sometime Q3-4. No price range.
