SPINX – The World’s First Toilet Cleaning Robot

There are few chores in life as nasty as cleaning the toilet. Even a clean looking toilet is nasty and teaming with all kinds of germs and bacteria. This is not a chore that anyone wants to be doing. Even if you wear gloves, the mere act of cleaning your toilet just leaves you feeling dirty. That’s why janitors are heroes. Anyway, now you can say goodbye to that old toilet brush. You will never have to clean the bowl or the seat again thanks to SPINX, the world’s first toilet cleaning robot. It works simple. A robotic arm with a rotating brush reaches down and cleans the toilet bowl, then SPINX’s water jets wash the seat and dry it with compressed air. The lid will hold up to 330 pounds and is gently closing. No matter how hard you try to force it, it closes gently and...

Ramblings – 6-21-09 – Las Vegas 1

Ramblings – 6-21-09 – Las Vegas

Day Off – Sort of A late Ramblings this week as I decided to stay offline last week. It was a long week and I was playing all weekend. It has been a while since I last took more than 24 hours off a computer, so that is a big feat for me. HP Tech Forum I had a fun time talking and working with Andy McCaskey and Kara Karsten with SDRNews. We had such a blast. We also put forward the mobile interview booth rig. We call it the “MacGyver” rig. Nonetheless, it was connected to uStream and we were able to conduct a few interviews for the event. Check out all the info on the Twitter log at #HPTF. Great to meet some new bloggers: Shane Pitman of Neowin, John Obeto of AbsoluteWindows. We had a great week along with Halley, Tom, Calvin and Rebecca from...

Avoid Swine Flu – Clean Your Keyboard / Mouse 0

Avoid Swine Flu – Clean Your Keyboard / Mouse

*NOTE* There are some that think Swine Flu comes from contact with pigs. The virus – H1N1 – has nothing to do with animals. It is a form of influenza that is circulating. Other variants in the past: Russian Flu (H2N2) Spanish Flu and bird Flu (H5N1). It’s a fact – you have more germs on your computer keyboard and mouse than on your household toilet. We’re talking thousands of germs as oppose to only a few from a toilet. So when it comes to Swine Flu, do we have to worry about cleaning these items? It is spring cleaning for me anyway – I reorganize and take care of items that I don’t normally touch on a weekly basis. Of course, with planning on moving, that also adds to the fun. I keep my keyboard pretty clean. A can of air to blast out any dust, food...

Ramblings – 1-17-09 – Catch Up From Trip

It’s interesting how much work I not only had to catch up on, but also the work I created. The CES trip was fabulous – it took me to a place I have never been before. In all reality, I have never wanted to go to Las Vegas. The sounds of a casino can get annoying after a while for me. Yet, it really wasn’t as bad as I thought. We stayed at the Monte Carlo – which I have to say I was not impressed with at all. Todd is campaigning the fact that the $14 – a – night internet connection was not great. While I agree with him, I had some other issues that really make me want to not stay there. I actually changed rooms during the stay. The construction of their Civic Center was annoying (which I know is not their fault, but...
