Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt Now Works With Google Assistant

is a name that people associate with door hardware. Rightly so, since they have been making door hardware for over 95 years. Today they made an announcement at CES that adds some high tech functionality to your door. The Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt works with Google Assistant and will be available in early Q1. With Google Assistant on Google , you can lock your door or check if the door is locked with only your voice. Just say, “OK Google, lock my door” or “OK Google, is my door locked?”

No need to pause that movie you are watching and lock your door, or get up and check, only to find out it was already locked. This takes care of one of life’s minor little annoyances. It also works on your iOS or Android smartphone. You will need the Schlage Sense Wi-Fi Adapter when using the Schlage Sense with Google Assistant. This will give smartphone users remote access to the lock through the Schlage Sense app, with no monthly fee required.

Not only will this be great for those who don’t want to get up and check the door after a long day, but you will never have to worry about losing your keys again either. You can create up to 30 unique access codes for people you want to have access to your home. They just have to use their code at the lock’s touchscreen and they are in. Others stay out. You can even schedule access codes so guests can only enter when you want them to. You can check on the lock’s status from anywhere, view past activity to see which codes have been used and when, update settings and check battery life. It is already compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. Score another victory for the SmartHome.
