AR Glasses to Help Low Vision People See from Biel Glasses
These prototype glasses are a way to help those with vision impairment. They offer Augmented Reality to identify what the person is seeing.
Currently, the user wears the headset and processing module. The glasses have cameras that send video to the processing module. Screens on the inside of the glasses to process the video and identify potential items that could get in your way.
The idea is to give people with low vision another way to be independent. Canes, dogs, and other aids might not be needed in the future for a person’s mobility.
As I mentioned, it is in prototype right now. Looking into the headset is a little disorientating at this time. Will it pair down to a Georgi LaForge headset?
Let’s hope so.
