Reolink Atlas Cameras Combine Performance and Ease of Use
Last Updated on January 17, 2025 11:44 am by Jeffrey Powers
Reolink showed off new security cameras at CES 2025 with the Atlas Series, which bring an impressive combination of features including Solar wireless and LTE options. These battery-powered cameras offer 24/7 continuous recording, solving a major limitation of traditional motion-triggered systems.
Continuous Recording Without the Hassle
Most battery-powered cameras record only when triggered by motion, relying on infrared sensors to save power. Reolink’s Atlas Series offers a option to do 24/7 continuous recording, and on a single charge.
The cameras can be plugged in, or attached to solar panels that can give a fully wireless solution to your home.
The lineup includes three models:
- Atlas PT Ultra: A 4K Wi-Fi camera with incredible clarity for detailed monitoring.
- Atlas PT: A 2K Wi-Fi camera that balances quality and affordability.
- Atlas Go PT: A 2K 4G-enabled camera designed for remote locations, perfect for places like construction sites or boats.
Each model is packed with smart features, from AI motion detection to real-time notifications.
Storage Options for Every Setup
Reolink’s Atlas Series is designed to offer flexible storage options. You can choose between SD cards (up to 1TB) for local storage or pair the cameras with Reolink’s new Home Hub or Home Hub Pro – with up to 16TB of storage.
Remote Monitoring Made Simple
Reolink’s cameras are as smart as they are powerful. The companion app, available on iOS and Android, allows you to monitor footage, adjust settings, and receive notifications in real time. With 4G-enabled options like the Atlas Go PT, you can even monitor remote areas without Wi-Fi access, making it ideal for on-the-go security.
Prices and Availability
While pricing details are yet to be announced, Reolink’s reputation for delivering feature-packed products at competitive prices suggests the Atlas Series will be a compelling choice when it launches later this year.
