Shokz OpenMeet Brings Comfort to Online Calls
Last Updated on January 18, 2025 11:50 am by Jeffrey Powers
Shokz introduced the OpenMeet headset at CES 2025. That, and the OpenFit 2 true wireless earbuds showcase Shokz’s commitment to open-ear audio technology, offering users comfort, situational awareness, and high-quality sound.
OpenMeet: Updating Designs for all Needs
I remember seeing Shokz (then OpenShokz) at my first CES – that headset also had the bow around the back of the neck. The Shokz OpenMeet headset is designed as an “over the head” headset, which is different to Shokz designs.
Also added since then in the OpenMeet is an advanced dual-microphone system powered by Qualcomm’s cVc noise reduction, OpenMeet isolates the user’s voice and reduces background noise by up to 98.6%, ensuring clear calls even in bustling settings.
The headset offers up to 15 hours of use on a single charge, with USB-C fast charging providing two hours of talk time from just a five-minute charge.
OpenFit 2: Next-Level Open-Ear Audio
The OpenFit 2 earbuds also moved away from Shokz design to eliminate the bow and give the user more functionality. Weighing only 9.4 grams per earbud, the OpenFit 2 ensures fatigue-free wear throughout the day.
Physical buttons offer precise and intuitive control over volume, track selection, and calls. With an IP55 water resistance rating, these earbuds are suitable for workouts and daily activities, keeping your music playing rain or shine.
Availability
The OpenMeet headset is available for purchase at $219.95, while the OpenFit 2 earbuds are priced at $179.95. Both products can be found on Shokz’s official website and authorized retailers.
