Unistellar Envision Offers a New Way to Explore the World
Last Updated on January 17, 2025 3:32 pm by Jeffrey Powers
We saw Unistellar last year with their eQuinox telescope. This year, they unveiled Envision, a pair of smart binoculars designed to transform the way we experience the world.
Augmented Reality in Your Hands
Envision operates like traditional binoculars when turned off, but once powered on, the device overlays real-time information onto your view. During the day, it provides details like trail maps, water sources, and points of interest. At night, it turns into a stargazer’s dream, displaying star maps, constellations, and even guiding users to specific celestial events like comets.
Envision Innovates Features for Every Explorer
One standout feature is Target Lock Mode, which allows you to lock onto a subject—like a bird, animal or constellation —and share that exact view with another user nearby.
When Can You Get Them?
The Unistellar Envision is expected to start shipping in June 2026, with early pricing at $900 for preorders. Retail units will sell for $1,500, but you can back the Indiegogo project. For more information, check out the Unistellar website.
