I once again joined Aving.net, along with a host of media outlets around the world to learn about companies and startups in the Korean markets. We chose the best companies, and gave out awards. And while I missed spending time in Korea, it felt good to get together with the others to catch up and find what companies are continuing to create content in 2021.
The goal of ICTWOW is to have a voice for companies that are struggling because of the pandemic. The Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister Hye-sook Lim) and the Korea Information and Communication Promotion Association (Chairman Jeong-ho Park) use this event to promote products and services that consumers from around the world can use.
The winners included:
- Le Cafe Du Geek: Cloud N is a national R&D company and ECO-friendly building consultant.
- Sina: Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) leads the communication industry in Korea since 1976. ETRI is supporting national innovation growth through different technologies in super-intelligence.
- Aving: Studio Coin Co. Ltd has been focusing on virtual and augmented realities (VR-AR). Recently, the company has been expanding into healthcare – focusing on patients who suffer PTSD after a traffic incident.
- Vietnam+: Safeware develops wearable airbags. This brings way to lifejackets for sport use – bicycling, horseback riding, and even water sports.
