geekazinemobileYou might have seen this picture on different websites. It’s a barcode. Just like with a magazine, this barcode is a unique identifier to the world. While it looks pretty, it’s function is simple: Get you to Geekazine.com

Now if your already on Geekazine.com, why would you worry about this? Well this isn’t as much for your computer, as it is for your mobile phone. Let’s say you are on your Notebook and would like to get the site on your mobile phone. Instead of typing in the URL, just point the camera to this symbol and let it do the work. The best part is each page will have it’s own symbol. If you are looking at the Day in Tech History content, for example, then your mobile phone will go directly to the page in question.

To use this interesting feature, all you have to do is download a program that will read the bar code. Here are a few programs you can look into:

  1. Active Print
  2. BeeTagg
  3. Google
  4. i-nigma
  5. Kaywa
  6. Nokia
  7. QuickMark
  8. UpCode

I am hoping this will help enhance your experience to Geekazine. If there is anything you want me to add on the site, just let me know in a comment below. Of course, you can always call 608-205-4378 or email [email protected] for more information.

Thanks for reading!
