Canon Unreal Bowling Makes the Game New Again

I remember biking to my local bowling alley for 10 frames of fun and frustration. I was even on a league where I couldn’t figure out how to break 200. Nowadays, bowling is a sport that is losing interest as alleys are closing down. But can something like Unreal Bowling bring the excitement back?
While at Infocomm 2016, I got to check out the “Unreal Bowling” by Canon and Crunchy Logistics. Using sensors and their Canon REALiS Projectors, they were able to give the lanes an interactive upgrade.
Flip through the menus to choose what you want to do on the lane. You can attack Pumpkins, run the ball across a piano, see Fireworks and much more. This can even turn one game into many to bring excitement to the weekend-bowler.
This is not a cheap investment as a simple lane like this starts at $9,000 to install. That may be a small price to pay to bring patrons in and see some ROI on the lanes.
