ARIN Says We’ll Run out of IPv4 Addresses This Year
Richard Jimmerson joined Todd on the TPN Live CES coverage. He is from American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN).
It’s about IPV4 space. We are going to run out of numbers in 2011. ARIN will only be there to let big companies know that there is no more space.
This affects new Internet subscribers. You IPV4 might be shared with up to 20 other households. Not a big deal if you are only checking email. If you VPN into work (for example) that could get affected.
