Eoin McMillian from Picture.ly at the Hackathon – TechCrunch Disrupt 2011
Adria Richards talks to Eoin McMillian. He is part of a company called Picture.ly. It is a program that lets you create photo albums. They started building tools to put pictures up on jumbo-trons. They are looking for Seed stage funding.
We built a tool called “VC Hunter”. It’s a game. What you do is you take a photo of your favorite VC or angel investor. We’ll aggregate that and process it through a image recognition engine. Whoever gets the largest portfolio wins. Essentially, the bigger the investor, the more points their worth and we’re doing that based off the Crunchbase API – However large their portfolio is.
