iOnRoad: Co-Pilot App Monitors Traffic Using Visual Radar – CES 2012
Last Updated on February 23, 2024 11:25 am by Jeffrey Powers
The folks from iOnRoad showed us how to turn our Smartphone into a Personal Driving Assistant.
iOnRoad, which is available for free in the Android app store (with iOS to come), mounts to the windshield. It turns the smartphone’s video camera into a “3rd eye”. iOnRoad’s Visual Radar is a type of augmented reality to warn you of potential hazzards.
If you are too close to a car, for example, iOnRoad will let you know so you can ease back. iOnRoad will send out a warning signal when you might be veering off road or crossing into other traffic.
