LG Styler: Steam Removes Wrinkles, Odors – CES 2012
At CES, we saw LG Styler. The LG Styler is the size of a refrigerator. You hang the clothes and start the cycle. Your shirts and pants will shake back and forth, as “True steam” penetrates the garments, remove the odors, wrinkles and freshens shirts and slacks up. The process takes about 39 minutes – a lot faster than it takes to wash the clothes.
LG Styler is only available in South Korea and Japan. They want to bring it to market correctly, so expect to see it very soon. The price looks to be around $2000, but if you think about how much it costs to wash these clothes on a regular basis, you would end up saving money.
The process also takes less water and not much energy. You would still need to dry clean and wash from time to time, but in the end, this could be the greener way to clean certain garments.
