Modular Snake Bot May Save Your Life Someday

The folks at Carnegie Mellon are at it again. This time, they want to help save your life if you are in a major disaster and still alive. That is what the Modular Snake is all about.
The Modular Snake is designed to get into smaller spaces. It’s body can slither and even wrap around an item to climb it. The camera will help the controller navigate. They plan to put a speaker and mic on it, so if the snake finds a survivor, they can talk back and forth.
The snake is a prototype, but a really cool innovation for saving lives.
