Ready Model 100: Build Your Own Computer
Ready is taking me back to the 80’s with technology of 2022 with the Ready Model 100. Starting from a Kickstarter, this Canadian based company has found a niche in a customizable single-board computer. And now you can get one as well!
Ready Model 100
The READY! MODEL 100 is a portable computer kit. Using Arduino, Raspberry Pi or another 4×4 embedded computer, you can enclose it into a system with keyboard, mouse, and more. ! The model 100 has an ultra-wide touchscreen LCD, RGB LED mechanical keyboard, 5w+5w stereo speaker system, and an incredible power and lithium battery charging system.
The R!100 case has 12 interchangeable ports, 4 antenna ports, and two positions for a strap. Even the case is customizable with multiple options of faceplates and enclosures.
Ready Model 100 started as an amateur radio computer, but the possibilities for other users made this something for all enthusiasts. It also makes a great STEM machine for any project.
The system is open source, and the plans are available on their website.
Base units start at $499 and are available now.
