TL60, TL120 DMX Lighting from NEEWER
Last Updated on February 13, 2024 2:08 pm by Jeffrey Powers
I stopped by the Neewer booth at CES 2024 to check out some of the new products for video content creators. I got to see the TL60 and TL120 (the 120 is not out yet) tube LED lights which run 2.4GHz Wifi AND DMX. But the rest of the booth had a lot of great stuff to light areas and hold cameras.
TL60 and TL120 DMX Lighting
This is LED Tube lighting with full RGBWW support, 2500K-10000K. Neewer has added DMX Ethernet jacks to the end of the tube for DMX connection and usage. The lighting wand also can be used via 2.4 GHz WiFi and the Neewer app.
With this LED light, you can set white to soft-white shots, then have fun with all the colors this wand can produce. 18 pre-programmed scenes are set in the app to give a party atmosphere, emergency lighting, and more.
The light can be mounted via the 1/4 inch mounting screw, or using one of many clamps Neewer comes out with (seen in the cages and rigs section).
A 3000mAh battery inside allows for 120 minutes of battery life, and continual power through the adapter.
The TL60 is available now, and the TL120 will be available later this year.
RGB-A111 Smartphone Video Rig
Adding LED lights to a Smartphone is as simple as the video cage. It’s just like a ring light, but this one has handles!
The light kit is RGB lighting, going from 2500K – 10000 Kelvin. It can hold any phone or camera, and has 5 cold shoe mounts (for attaching microphones, more lights, and other items).
Two battery bay for long shoots, and connects via Bluetooth and USB for wireless shutter.

GL1 Pro
The GL1 Pro is a 15.5 inch key light with stand that attaches to the table. You can control this light with the iOS/Android app, or through your Stream Deck.
The GL1 is a soft light that does 3700lux, and a Kelvin range of 2900K-7000K. The light contains a circuit that keeps flickering from happening when you dim the light.
CM28 Dual Lav camera microphone
Dual lavalier microphones are great for the videographer that has to record one-on-one interviews. All three units sit in the recharging case until it’s time to use. When ready, pair up the 2.4GHz transmitters to the receiver, and connect to the camera, or computer.
But you don’t even need those to record the audio, because the transmitters also can record up to 9 hours of audio. This can serve as a backup for any interviews, in case the Wifi is over-saturated and cuts out.
The CM28 records 16 bit, 48kHz audio. Pressing the button for 2 seconds will start the transmitter recording to activate.
The microphones will run for 9 hours on a full charge, and the receiver will run 8 hours. Putting the units back in the case will fully charge twice before having to recharge the case.
Neewer Cages for your Camera
Whether a DSLR, iPhone, Android, GoPro, or other camera, Neewer has a cage and rig for that. From frames that surround and help protect the camera, to rigs that add shoulder mounts, clamps, and more.
I use these all the time in holding up cameras, monitors, and more. The best part about the cages is it gives you more shoe mounts to work with – so you can put on more lights and microphones if needed.
ST210R Carbon Fiber Cowboy Stand
I use these stands all the time to hold cameras, lights, and even put a cross-bar on for more versatile shots. I love the fact that it’s a carbon fiber stand – giving it strength while keeping the stand light to carry.
The stand folds down to 34 inches and extends up to 7 feet high. 1/4 inch screw combo mount if you have a light like the PL60 panel lights.
Neewer X17 Teleprompter
Having a teleprompter in front of a camera means you can try to maintain eye contact with a viewer when reading a script, or having a Zoom or Teams meeting. Place a monitor or tablet flat, then the 2-way glass will reflect the image to you where as the camera will not see any of the image.
I will use my iPad as a 2nd monitor to my computer running teleprompter software to read any script I wrote. Having the eye contact while reading keeps you from getting distracted from other things going on in the room, and helps keep eye contact with your viewers.
PL60
These are the standard panel lights that are used in many studios and video shoots. I have many that I use on a regular basis to light the room.
These lights come in different configurations – some simple white lights, to RGBW lighting. Can be powered through the plug, or through battery.
Q4 400W Flash Strobe
One of the newest products in the Neewer line is the Q4 Flash Strobe. This 400 Watt light is rated for indoor or outdoor, holds a 2800mAh battery, and can can be paired with your camera to get that perfectly lit shot.
Everything from Manual to automatic flash for whatever shot you’re taking. The light can be handheld, and can attach different diffusers via the Bowens mount.
