Adobe Premiere Pro with Film IO, Color Sensai A.I.
Francis Crossman said it was great to be back to in-person, it was good to see people have legs…
I talked to Francis about the updates to Premiere Pro, including the integration of Frame.io into the system. We talked about that, and the new color tab and auto configuration.
Frame.IO Integration
The new workflow addition to Premiere includes connecting to the Frame.IO system. Adobe Creative Cloud users have 100 GB of storage available to bring in video clips and more. In Premiere Pro, you can organize, then import clips into your project.
Collaboration is set up for two users, so a connection between home and office or on the set is available. You can also switch between 5 different projects if needed.
And if you have remote video collaboration, the Camera to Cloud solution allows the video to be recorded, then sent to the editor for a quick turnaround.
Intelligent Color Correction
For the last couple years, Adobe Sensai has been in the background being integrated into different programs. Now the Sensai A.I. has been added into Premiere for color analysis and correction.
If you simply want to have the scene, clip, or other corrected, the auto correct function will use the A.I. to give you the best option. Reverting back and forth between looks is fairly straightforward, and can help you understand a little bit about coloring.
For example, I applied the auto to this video. I then did a white balance on the scene and observed the differences. This made me realize that a indoor white look isn’t always the best bet.
The color tab also has extra effects and a full LUT system to give your video a common overall look. When you find the right look, simply apply it to all the clips in the scene.
