Wood Trick 3D Puzzle Mechanical Hand Build
This is another video in a series of geeky builds I’ve been doing. This is also a “Real Time” build, so you can put this together with me. This event is over 7 hours long because of the assembly process. In the end, you’ll have a fully functional mechanical hand that you can use to point, pick up certain items, or just have some fun with.

About Wood Trick
This is a company that makes 3D puzzle projects from wood. The projects are challenging, and end results are pretty amazing.
All the pieces are laser-cut and fit together without issue. Depending on the complexity, some of these projects bring challenge and thought to each build.
There are several projects to choose from. Mechanical hand, trains, clocks, puzzle boxes, planes, puzzle boxes, and more.
Each kit is fairly inexpensive, as well. Many are under $50, and the most expensive looks to be under $100. Wood Trick also offers Bundle options to save money.
Thoughts on Building Wood Trick Mechanical Hand
I had a lot of fun doing this 3D puzzle project. It takes strong hands and patience to put together, but the end result was pretty nice.
The pictorial instructions did bring a slight challenge in interpreting. It would’ve helped if they were on-line PDFs so I could zoom in on certain areas.
Overall, the end result is a very solid construction that I can have fun with, or display for others to marvel at my ability.
