Epson is about more than just printers you know. In fact, the company has recently announced their new Epson MOVERIO BT-35E Smart Glasses so that you can enjoy the latest in augmented reality. These glasses allow users to experience images as big as an 80 inch screen with 720p resolution measured at 16.4 feet. It is one of the most advanced industrial-grade augmented reality glasses that you can buy on the market right now.
The latest version of these glasses works with 100,000:1 contrast ratio and features a Si-OLED binocular display.
The headset will work no matter your eyesight and prescription glasses requirements. They also have a fully adjustable hinge system with temple arms that move in and out, plus a flip-up hinge and neck strap. They are designed to be used in industry positions, but can also be used by consumers, so they aren’t trying to make a fashion statement.
It works with both HDMI and USB-C for video. It works with most modern non-Apple smartphones and can be used indoors or outdoors. They are priced at around $900 and should start shipping on September 15. That’s not a bad price at all when you look at what previous generations of this technology have sold for.
