MIK 2018: Korean Startups Compete for a Chance to go to CES 2019
On December 5th, the second part of the MIK (Made in Korea & Made by Korea) conference will be held in Seoul, South Korea. I have been here for the week, talking with startups, and getting interviews such as KEZ, Dataking, and Petica. It all leads up to this event.
MIK is an event that is put together by our friends at, and active media partner (MWC, IFA) Aving News. Around 15-20 companies will present in a mini tech startup conference, talking about their products. Aving works in part of Korea’s future ‘Made in Korea & Made by Korea’ project, which has been a marketing promotion event for promising domestic companies that hope to enter the global market since 2016.
Geekazine has been participating with other independent news organizations: Le Cafe du Geek (France), YESKY(China), ICsmart(China), Vietnamlplus(Vietnam), MENG ZHANG(China), and more. IT Donga, SmartPCSarang, Early Adopter, and others from Korea will also participate.
Winners have a chance to be at CES 2019 this January.
I’ll be covering with interviews of the startups, and more. You can check out the content here, or on the Geekazine YouTube Channel.
