Kensington displayed their newest products at CES 2017, including a Thunderbolt 3 docking station, fingerprint reader and new laptop lock station for thinner laptops.
Kensington SD5000T Docking with Thunderbolt 3
The new dock will allow for any laptop using Thunderbolt 3 technology to connect to the Internet via Ethernet, connect 2 – USB-A and 2 – USB-C devices, headphones and even an 85w power supply for your laptop including Macbook Pro models. With Thunderbolt 3 technology inside the USB-C, you will be able to run a dual-4k monitor setup without issue.
Kensington Fingerprint USB Dongle
Another great addition to the Kensington line-up allows for you to add fingerprint functionality to your Windows 10 laptop. The USB-A dongle connects with the protocol already installed in Windows 10 to set up a fingerprint password from a laptop or desktop. With adding a biometric feature to your machine, you can keep passwords to a minimum and accountability to whoever is using the machine.
The VeriMark Fingerprint reader contains the smallest touch sensor available. The device is plug-and-play and uses the Windows 10 software to configure and deploy.
