Wirecast 7.6 Adds NDI Support, Allows Adobe Character Animator

A long time user of Telestream Wirecast, I was really happy to spend some time in their booth at NAB to learn about 7.6. Since the release of Wirecast 7, they have stepped up the game with cool features that really compete in the live streaming space. And now with incorporating NewTek’s open architecture Netrwork Device Interface (NDI), Wirecast can go in a lot of cool directions.
For starters, Wirecast can bring in Adobe Character Animator into a scene. The program allows you to make a 3D character, then use facial recognition to give the animation life. Just like with what Stephen Colbert does with Cartoon Donald Trump.
Down the road you will be able to bring an NDI connected camera into a scene. You could have your team live in different parts of the world, and work the Titler Live from their offices.
Add to this the awesome streaming capabilities that 7.5 brought in to Periscope and Facebook Live, and you have a system that can create network-style content at a down to earth price.
