USB Implementers Forum Announce Superspeed: 5 GB per second USB

Up to ten times the speed of Highspeed 480Mb/sec, the 5Gb/sec signaling rate of the new standard moves to the next level- a 25GB HD movie, with Superspeed will take 60-70 seconds to transfer. Certified notebooks from HP, NEC, Asus and a number of other companies are already available.
The new Sandy Bridge chipset from Intel is a key enabling technology. The USB Implementers Forum certifies products from manufacturers around the world. Over 165 products are already certified.
