DJI Phantom 2 vision plus Drone for Aerial Video – NAB 2014

In the drone market, DJI is making their mark with items such as the Phantom 2 vision+. A lightweight quadcopter that can connect wirelessly and run up to 2,000 feet from the controller. This makes for some great video shots overhead with smaller sized cameras.
The Phantom 2 also has a 3-axis attachment for full camera stabilization. So if the device hits a pocket of air that destabilizes the drone, the camera will not get affected. Phantom 2 also has a integrated GPS auto-pilot system so you can not worry about the drone when you are focused on getting the video shot. With the GPS, if the drone gets out of range, it can trigger a return home option to bring it back safely.
The remote control can attach a mobile device so you can see the shot you are creating. You can even adjust the video parameters from the app for smaller or larger resolution video.
I talk with Willis about the Phantom 2 Aerial drone, along with their DJI Ronin 3-axis camera stabilizer with smooth track technology. This gives you easy setup and calibration along with the ability to hold the device so you can get through tight areas without issue.
